Artist Statement
"I am a satirical writer and novelist with over 18 years of professional experience, specializing in satirical prose (journalism and short fiction), as well as serious short and flash fiction. Since 2007, my practice has focused primarily on social and cultural critique, using humor as a potent tool to explore the complexities of contemporary Iranian life. My work often addresses universal themes of bureaucracy, modernity vs. tradition, and citizens’ rights. While my main focus is socio-cultural, I occasionally integrate political commentary, positioning my work within the broader context of critical, contemporary literature."
